Before we start the whole thing, we want to make sure that our books are all ready to be sent around the world. Check this list to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything.
Shopping List
- A box, not too big, but not too small, of somewhat hard cardboard so that it doesn’t fall apart after just a few rounds.
- Bubble paper. Just the amount that you need to wrap your book into it.
- Kraft/brown paper. You’ll probably have to wrap up to 10 packages with it so you might want to buy enough already.
- (Stickers, if you want to print the addresses instead of writing them by hand)
Preparing the book
- Buy a new book. Haha.
- Open the first pages and choose the one that is going to hold the list of names and dates that the people got your book. There’s got to be enough space to write about 10 names and dates, so choose carefully
- Prepare the columns by writing their titles : Name – Date Received – Date Sent
- Write your own name and date sent in the columns (don’t write it in the wrong column, hehe)
Preparing the package
- Make sure your box isn’t too big for nothing (the book might move and damage itself).
- Wrap the book into bubble paper. Make sure it’s not taped too much as we’ll use the same bubble paper for the whole process.
- Wrap the box into Kraft/brown paper.
- Write/stamp the addresses (please add a return address just in case!) and “fragile” warning if you want to.
